壁画中建筑物装修部分。多以木料制成，有直棱、卧棱、勾片、华板等式样，而以勾片为多，故亦名勾栏。在唐代多数壁画中，横木的寻杖、盆唇、地袱与垂直的构件瘦项、蜀柱相交处用不同颜色表示，其边沿又有密排钉点，可能表示此处包镶金属薄片，用以加强栏杆节点强度，并有一定装饰作用，此种作法已不见于后世建筑物中。---《敦煌学大辞典》
